For me, it will always be having knowledge about what you work with / what your role is. I woul dmuch prefer to know alot about something than work in a job and all that drives you to work is the money at the end of it smile.gif

Money is good to have, but as im not such a greedy person and don't class money as the be all and end all, as long as I have anough moey to see me through to next pay day that keeps me alive and well, im happy. smile.gif

Yeh I see your point Luu, but I see some people in a job who brag more about money and what they earn than what they are actually worth !(if they are worth anything) and it just get's up my nose when they make out they are better than the rest.

But with me I much prefer to have a mass of knowledge than money !

i think when i ran my own pub it was different, i was on courses all the time, the resturant was doing well, catering weddings/christenings etc which meant i was helping someone elses day perfect, i was learning new things all the time and could see that other people was benefiting from it all the time, so it does give your morale and confidence a boost and you know its a job worth doing.

ok, my job didnt make a difference to other people's lifes like say a doctor or copper, but i was on great money (as long as i was doing my job properly and bringing in the punters) but i didnt treat anyone any different, i mean there is nothing special about being a Landlady sad.gifblink.gif

knowledge, but the jobs i'm lookin at at the moment pay well but ask a lot, so it's a good thing as then i further my knowledge. but both are equal to each other really. you need to strike that balance.

Is anybody worth anything in their job ... I don't think so!!

Unless of course you own your own company ... everyone is dispensable.

You can have all the knowledge in the world, doesn't automatically make you happy if you don't have money, but then again if you've all the money in the world that won't necerssarily make you happy either.

Only 'you' can make your self happy!!!

Only 'you' can make 'yourself' believe they are better than you!!!

Definitely knowledge !

But at some point you have to think about pensions, mortgages and settling down so give it a few years and it will be money again.

Having said that knowledge == money - you must always think LONG term

thats true in my job. the wealth of experience i've learnt in 6yrs, AND still learnin may be valuable, but at the moment the pay is shit mad.gif my average wage for a month, bearing in mind i have the lives of maybe 2,000 travelling public a day, is only £650 a month. omg.gif

i think airport workers(ie loaders cargo agents, security) should be paid top dollar in what is an increasingly dangerous world imo.gif
