For this night Just the One? will returning to their roots in the lavish and understated Deep Blue Rooms, Weston Street, SE1. For this date we bring you a small, intimate party for those who want to keep the Just the One? vibe going until the next themed party in October. For this night we have the outstanding duo Spirit Catcher - LIVE - who promise to deliver their trademark future disco sound, they will be joined by the first lady of dance music Lisa Loud, residents Kriss Darang vs Jnr J, Tee-J and Steve Spectrum, Ben de la Pena and a special one off set from Brown Sugar.

Spirit Catcher have become one of the most in-demand house acts, gracing the finest underground labels with their polished future disco sound. But to those who know them, Tom and Jean are simply a pair of misfits looking for life and love between the keyboard keys and the automated faders. Jean Vanesse and Thomas Sohe have been exposed to music for as long as they have been conscious; two kids born into the sounds of the seventies, then immediately grabbed by the cruel talons of music and doomed to seek solution in the groove. Now, through the help of well-meaning record labels such as Silver Network, Freerange, Winding Road, Missive and Moodmusic, we can all listen in to the frenzied disco workouts through which they exorcise their murky pasts.

Is worldly renowned as a DJ, and widely revered businesswoman who's meteoric rise has been sustained with dignity, humility and determination. With her extensive musical background and expertise, Lisa has ignited pretty much every party in the world, from the fashion Glitterati of Milan to the discerning floors of Ibiza. Lisa combines glamour, elegance and sophistication on the decks with her trade mark tribal infused tech house. Recently retuned from her Asia and Australasia tour, combining her finest attributes Lisa rocked the super clubs in Major cities in Australia including Chinese Laundry in Sydney where she played a 4 hour set & Famous At QBH in Melbourne. Uber cool lifestyle venues in Manila and Korea; Warehouse 135 and circle respectively, have applauded her, whilst Ultra Chic outdoor beach parties in Thailand eagerly await the return of our finest Export.

Alongside them will be Just the One? residents Kriss Darang vs Jnr J who have just finished remixing duties for Harry, and have finished separate remix projects for Gary Gecko, Mutiny and Martijn ten Velden, oh and not forgetting their busy work load with new label Devoré Recordings!

 

 

Ben de la Pena

 

The name sounds kind of cool, doesn’t it? This fella’s got the enthusiasm, the looks and the goddamn talent to take him all the way. Since joining up with the Movin’ House gang in 2002 these guys have taken him all over London. Then there’s the infamous Cheshire Street and AT NIGHT warehouse parties which Ben's played at -they don't come around very often! Ben also had a brief residency for RIOT! @ The End 2005) but more so for the formidable 'FilthyhouSessions' from July 2004 till August 2005 which ran nights alongside Papadiso, InSession, Fathers of House and CIRCO LOCO at Pacha, Turnmills and EGG. In between all of this, Ben was signed to the Sedition DJs agency and launched his own bi-monthly night entitled ZIPCODE at LOOP (Oct 2003) with partners in Crime Joe Cullen & John Stone (beenseen) and continued its success with it at Plan-B,Brixton from 2005 till 2007 (www.zipcodemusic.co.uk). The night gave Ben the chance to play longer sets and really show us what he can do. After securing a new residency for UP^^ @ Turnmills, SASH @ Chapel bar, a monthly Saturday show on well known London internet radio HOUSE FM 10pm-12pm (www.housefm.net) last year, he has found the time to step into the studio. Already with tracks under his belt on Berwick St with Timo Garcia and with 2 future releases on Devore Records with Graeme Lloyd and a remix on Room Control records, he plans to have a joint E.P out by winter 2007...watch this space!!!
