CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted March 8, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted March 8, 2004 (edited) Bought mixmag earlier in the week, but hadnt listened to the cd. I always make sure and listen to the cds even if i dont think I will like them. usually im quite suprised and take to most of them. They may not be on constant play, but do get a listen when in the right mood etc. But I have to say this one is the biggest load of bollox ive heard yet. Im not much of a DnB fan to begin with, but like I said i give everything a shot and try my hardest to "understand" on some level. However, from the off, this cd just bored me to tears. lame ass over used sounds/arrangements that even ive heard before and i dont listen to dnb often. And although the music has a high bpm, i didnt find that it had any energy at all - very lack lusture. has anyone else listened to it? what were your thoughts? CTW Members Bungle Posted March 8, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 8, 2004 Its still in its wrapper. I normally listen to all the cober CDs when I get them but I'm not a big fan of D&B. Don't think I'll bother now if its that bad. Quote Anyone fancy a bongle with bungle?
CTW Members neet Posted March 9, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 9, 2004 (edited) I can easily say that this cd is the biggest pile of wank I have ever heard. I bought mixmag for the cd. Have never been a huge fan of Grooverider, saw him play a couple of years ago and it was boring. It's compiled of very dull tracks in my opinion, and I love a whole spectrum of drum and bass. I gave it a chance and listened to the whole thing once........ It is currently residing in the passenger footwell of my car. And agreed with Liam, it has none of the energy which make drum n bass so special. Edited March 9, 2004 by neet

CTW DJs Ian Cashman Posted March 9, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted March 9, 2004 I dont think drum and bass has progressed in the slightest since 1997...
