The saying goes all good things must come to an end and on Saturday 16th February 2008 will not be more true anywhere else in the world than Yarm.

For an incredibly special date will take place that will be long remembered after the last encore has satisfied the thousands of Goodgreef followers who will have travelled from far and wide to be part of history. Because after five incredible years of manic, hedonistic and simply outstandingly good partying at Tall Trees in Yarm, Goodgreef’s tenure is coming to an end as the UK’s largest venue is closes its doors in the spring.

Yes, that is sadly correct, you heard right:

Tall Trees is closing and Sat Feb 16th is the LAST ever Goodgreef party there!

It’s sad news indeed but what better way to celebrate than sign off with a party oozing talent from every pore, one which embodies precisely what has made Tall Trees and GG such an explosive combination.

Over the years Goodgreef’s mammoth sessions at Tall Trees have helped define clubbing in the north, and the guys have brought in the biggest and best talent there is including Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Lisa Lashes, the Tidy Boys and of course not forgetting Eddie Halliwell, a man who has become almost as iconic as the parties themselves in the North East. Tall Trees has also bore witness to career explosions from Adam Sheridan, Tylor-Leigh, Kutski, Alex Kidd, Shan and many more of GG’s young stars, each who have plied their trade at the famous club and have become as much a part of Tall Tree’s evolution as a venue as their own stars have grown brighter and brighter.

It’s a sad day yet a special one too, as Saturday February 2008 will go down in clubbing lore as one of the biggest parties of all time.

And it’s apt then that this party unites Eddie and Fire It Up together with GG for one more time on Sat 16th February. The globe-trotting superstar headlines this cataclysmic three way collision between Goodgreef, Fire it Up and Tall Trees itself, making for a proposition that brings together a collection of dynamite players who support the main man. In Club M Dutch trance master Marcel Woods is on deck duty along with fellow Netherlands export Richard Durand who brings his unique Electro, Hard House and Trance style to the party. Then there’s exciting techno/tech trance Preach who Eddie himself has been supporting, rising star Barry Connell and James Alexander aka Kid is on warm up duty. Galaxy FM Nu Breed star & GG North East resident Mark Maitland, Curious Hi Fi & local heroes Toddy b2b Mick Lindsey get to smash the House Party with quality electo and tech house for one last time at Club M.

The lineup speaks for itself and is the only way to say goodbye to Tall Trees.

For anyone with any memories of parties gone by, for those who were there at the start and have been there ever since, for those who have seen hard dance, trance, techno, house epics and so much more, there is simply no excuse not to be part of the closing chapter of history for the last ever Goodgreef in Yarm.

It’s time to be with old friends again and re-live the magic at Tall Trees for one more time before it closes for good. It’s time to be united as one on the dance floors in Club M and the House Party. It’s time to be part of a final roof-raising session at Tall Trees with some of the most exciting performers on the planet.
