MIT have been developing something like this for a while now. MIT have been working on a total body armour that will all a foot solider to jump buildings, have the ability to detetic projectile objects, such as bullets that would then turn the clothes into a rigid structure to protect the wearer. Also the ability to go invisable.

oh and i forgot to add, if the person say brakes a bone the clothes would become solid to act as a splint and to prevent from further injury. Also monitoring body signs as well, but this is already in place in some forces.
