A little information on Stoneface & Terminal apearing at Digital Society V11 on March 14th Myhouse nightclub Leeds....

Stoneface & Terminal are two dynamic producers and DJs from Germany with a long list of releases and remixes on a number of high profile labels. Their productions are hammered by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz.

In 2004 Henry & Matthias founded their label Electric Department Records and brought up tracks like "Merkur", "Sidewinder" or "Summerscape/Miami". Paul van Dyk chose "Merkur" for his exclusive DJ mag mix CD "World’s #1 DJ".

After 4 releases on their own label, Henry & Matthias joined one of the world’s leading Trance labels Euphonic and teamed up with Ronski Speed to create "Incognition/Drowning Sunlight". "Incognition" was played by almost every DJ in the world and became one of the biggest club hits in 2005. In 2006 the "Venus" single followed and was picked by Armin van Buuren for his "A State of Trance" CD compilation + vinyl sampler. As remixers, Stoneface & Terminal are highly in demand. They made remixes for acts like NU NRG on Paul van Dyk’s Vandit Label, Marc Marberg with Kyau & Albert, 4 Strings, Kuffdam & Plant or remixes in association with Ronski Speed for Darren Tate’s DT8 Project.

As DJs, Stoneface & Terminal are famed for their high-energy edged style. With the power of their DJ sets they have the makings to fascinate the crowd all around the world.

On this album Henry & Matthias will show you their musical creativity. They worked along with great singers like Sylvia Brandse, Denise Rivera & Alexander Perls and made special album versions of their well-known tracks like "Another Day", "Super Nature" or "Drowning Sunlight". Their musical style varies between relaxing tunes, vocal based songs and energy loaded club tracks. As the name says, that album contains a wide range of electronic music...

Digital Society takes time out to interview Kyau & Albert before 14th march event....

With 9 Days to go we caught up with Kyau and Albert before the gig at Digital Society.

Hi guys, hope everything is good? So tell us how has the past 12 months been in terms of Djing and production?

K&A: The last year was very busy for us. Beside travelling we started working on our 3rd album and did some remixes. Our latest remix for Cressida's track '6am' is burning the dancefloors around the world right now, which makes us really happy.

So you obviously been very busy to say the least. Are they any new releases coming out soon?

K&A: In the next months we plan to release another collab with Marc Marberg and a new Kyau & Albert single too.

Who would you say has influenced you over the years to get where you are now?

K&A: We have so many influences, not only from EDM artists. We listen to literally everything and are as listeners very open-minded to various styles.

Is there a difference in which Country you play in? (Crowd reaction etc)?

K&A: This is a question, we get asked very often. We think there's not really a differnce between the countries, because dance music is a quite universal thing.

What is the most challenging aspect of being a DJ/Producer?

K&A: As DJ you can see many places, which is very cool. As producer you have the chance to reach the people's hearts and maybe some your songs gets important for a certain part of their lifes.

What are your plans/goals for this year?

K&A: We try to finish our next album studio album until end of the year. Addionally we are looking for the right tracks to make some cool remixes and hope to have such a busy DJ schedule like last year.

What can the Digital Society crowd expect from you when you guys play?

K&A: The crownd can count on getting a really cool set and of course lots of fun behind the decks.

And finally, tell us a random/interesting fact about yourself? :)

K&A: We like cats alot.

Cheers guys, we cant wait for you to rock the DS dancefloor.

Digital Society chats to Stoneface & Terminal with a few questions before the gig this friday 14th march at Myhouse nightclub leeds...

Hi Guys hope things are cool

Henry & Matthias:

Yes doing great thanks

So what have you guys been up to in the last year or so?

Matthias:

We were pretty busy in the last year.

We released our first Album WIDE RANGE on Euphonic, the singles INNER VOICE/VOLCANO and SOUSEEKER +

a few remixes for acts like Above & Beyond and Garth Emery.

Henry:

We also played in countries like the USA, Malaysia or Mexico.

You guys have been busy in the or so production and DJing wise? Have you any new material on the horizon?

Henry:

We just finished our new 4 track MARS EP. It's going to be released in april on euphonic.

It includes the album extended + a new club mix of PICTURES, a brandnew tech-trance track

called STORM and the extended album mix of ENDORPHINE.

Who has been a major influence for you in your musical careers?

Matthias:

Yello and the KLF. We still love their music.

How would you describe your DJ style?

Matthias:

Energetic, melodic and driving. We include everything we like.

It doesn’t have to be uplifting trance only.

Henry:

If we have enough time, we play a mix of electro, trance, techno and even minimal

if we think it fits into our set.

What is the most challenging aspect of being a DJ/Producer?

Henry:

As producers, we always try to find new fresh sounds and good melodies.

It's always interesting to see how people react on a new single or remix.

Matthias:

As djs, we love to see the crowd going nuts.

Further, we love to travel around the world.

What advice have you got for anyone wanting to make it as a DJ or/and producer?

Henry:

As producer, don't try to copy any tracks. It's better to create an own unique style.

What is your most funniest/embarrassing moment as a DJ moment?

Matthias:

It was in amsterdam. Someone had to pick us up

from the hotel at midnight to bring us to the club wich is 10 minutes away from the hotel.

We went downstairs and a guy asked us "are you the djs? I'm your driver".

After 30 minutes driving he asked us

"Are you guy gerber & .....(forgot the name)?"

After that he was in big trouble :o)

And finally tell us a random/interesting fact about yourself?

Matthias:

I'm a magician

Henry:

I believe i can fly

We have no idea :o)
