Here we go again! Sanctuary Festival is back for 2008 and it’s going to be bigger, better, louder and sunnier (fingers crossed!). Last year’s event was launched during what was widely thought of as one of the wettest summers ever in the UK, but 10,000 of you still attended, showed true spirit and made it one of the highlights of the calendar. We all lived to tell the tale so here we are again….

 

We return to what we are convinced is one of the most amazing festival sites in the country – the Matterley Bowl, a natural amphitheatre which is absolutely perfect for what we are creating for one mad weekend in August. Great surroundings, great weather (we hope), and because of the shape of the site, the ability like virtually no other festival to crank up the sound and have a party!

 

Last year almost half of you that came brought your tents, your sleeping bags and your mates and stayed for the entire weekend, definitely the best way to do it and make sure you don’t miss out on anything at all. This year we anticipate even greater numbers of campers as everyone goes into full-on ‘festival mode’ and takes a whole weekend off from reality – there’s nothing like it. We’re even running coach services that can take you from your hometown to and from the site for the weekend or just for the Saturday – the choice is yours.

 

So what’s new this year? We’ve got more artists, more big tops, more supporting club brands, more attractions and more facilities in order to make this the ultimate party this year. Friday night sees 4 arenas plus an Outdoor stage, whilst Saturday is 16 hours of pure entertainment with the Outdoor stage running from early afternoon into the evening, plus 8 more tented arenas of the best in the harder dance music styles. Drum & Bass, Hardcore, Hard Style, Hard Dance, Trance, Old Skool, Club Classics, Hard House, European Techno, Hard Trance & Hardcore Techno - beat that!

 

Last years’ event gave us a whole load of experience and all-important feedback from you that will no doubt be implemented in the running of the event this year. Attention to detail counts, so we’ll be adding loads of new stuff such as a campsite bar and music arena, a better variety of food, better camping facilities, an outdoor stage viewing platform and so on.
