Richard Dinsdale – ‘Blitzkrieg’ – Release Date: 21/04/08

Richard Dinsdale has been a very busy man since his explosion onto the scene a few years back. Having his tracks and remixes on labels such as Toolroom, GU Music and Renaissance it’s no wonder this guy is a Ministry of Sound DJ resident. He is well known for spending hours of his time perfecting his tracks to get the desired dancefloor reaction, some would call him a perfectionist but we just call him brilliant and we’re proud to have him working with us again.

‘Blitzkrieg’ is typically Dinsdale, with his formidable crunching percussion and throbbing basslines. This track quickly gets into gear and within seconds the swinging beat gets that body moving before falling into the main rhythm, a twisted glitch melody. All the elements combine to great effect providing us with a bass heavy goover of a tune but before you know it the knobs are tweeked and the track turns nasty. Dirty and driving along at 100mph you’d better keep your heads down and hold onto your hats as this track is relentless.

Trevor Loveys who is best known for his fidget house productions and gives us our first remix on this package. Sticking with his famous style this track starts off in an electro style which is quite reserved by his standards…but it draws you into a false sense of security before turning into a pit bull terrier and tearing your ass off. It explodes into a chunky, bouncing bass driven thumper with snippets of old skool loops and sharp synth hits, trust us when we say all Loveys’ fans will not be disappointed.

The second remix comes from well respected producer Jon Gurd. With releases on CR2 and Toolroom and being part of production duo The Rendition this guy has really made a name for himself. His remix of this track is very jackin’ and would suit those warm up DJ sets or late night afterhours. A perfectly pure bass and clean swinging beats keep this track rolling throughout with the occasional space age synth getting a look in.

Mic Newman is a new producer seriously making his mark on the underground scene. With a recent remix on Toolroom, various other releases on labels such as 8 Bit and Great Stuff, support from Pete Tong and much more the future is looking very bright for this guy. His remix is pure underground dancefloor material, clear driving beats, a seriously heavy bass and a bleep rhythm that keeps the momentum up all combining with devastating effect. Later dropping into an energetic break before kicking back in with a surreal gliding melody, this will definitely be on heavy rotation!

‘Blitzkrieg’ is available from all good digital download stores from 21st April 2008
