pioneer is far better than both imo

I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse.

Get Technics mk2s. smile.gif

I personally prefer the feel of my Vestax PDT-5000 (better torque, more accurate & responsive pitch controls, etc). I never thought they looked Fisher Price wink.gif but point taken! They're sturdy as hell though - absolutely rock solid.

But for the sake of having the industry standard decks, get mk2s. They're not that different from Vestax, but you might as well have the same decks as nearly every club in the country!

I disagree that you're "fucked" when you play in a club. It only takes a short while to adjust to Technics. The main difference is the feel and response of the Technics pitch slider.

My final comment is - don't bother with gimmicks, unless you're really sure you need them. I mean, being able to play your record backwards, or adjusting the pitch to +16, isn't exactly very useful for most people! (I know Mr Happy will disagree with me...) smile.gif
