THIS SUNDAY - CLANDESITNO

clandestino.jpg

Clandestino is a party that oozes style in every sense, as it sashays into AKA this Sunday. The colourful, international crowd and superb deep, electronic house and melodic techno give it an Ibizian flavour. Queen of the night and resident Miss Jools celebrates her birthday tonight, alongside fellow resident Werner and guest Luciano Esse. A Sunday party with a touch more class.

LUCIANO ESSE has an expert knowledge of music in all its expression. He started to work in 1990 with "Enjoy Group", a collective which changed the way house music was percieved in the south of Italy.

From 1995 till 1999 he worked with "House Essentials" and became one of the best promoters in his country. In the year 2000, he joined "The Flame" crew, which is at the forefront of music reality in most of Italy. With The Flame crew he started to sink his teeth into decks and vinyls, whilst keeping contact with the people that always followed him to the best underground parties.

He moved to London in 2001 to make his music knowledge deeper and in the summer of 2002 he got a weekly residency on sunday night at "Turnmills", also playing at "The Arches", "Crash", "The Egg", "AKA (The End)", "The Rex". In 2005 he started to organise his own party "ZUM" at the most undergound clubs in London. In the same year John Digweed hosted him on his Kiss 100 Radio Show.

The most important moment of his career so far is his gig at "Fabric" as he is one of the first italian djs to have this big honour, in April 2006, followed by several other gigs in the months to come. In summers 2006 and 2007 he was one of the resident djs for the "Vitalik Crew" at We Love Sundays at Space in Ibiza. He also played at "Mulletover" (Ibiza - London), "Clandestino @ The End" (London), "Krisha Mira" (Moscow), "Pacha" (Ibiza), "Underground" (Ibiza), "Panorama Music Festival" (Naples), "Clorophilla" (South of Italy), "Mimetica" (Madrid), "Raum" (Barcelona), "Dirty Disco" (Leeds), "T-Bar" (London), "Retox" (London), "Pervert @ Hollywood" (Milan), "Nude @ Ministry Of Sound" (London), "Amnesia" (Milan), "Shocking" (Milan), "Gasoline" (Milan), "Club Ovest" (Sardegna), "Tenax" (London), "Substance" (Manchester), "Mosquito Acid Valley" (Verona), "Classic" (Riccione), "Fresh & Fruit" (Padova), "Fraumarleen" (Lucca), "Select_D" (Caserta), "Il Pacha'" (Palermo), "Los Piratas" (Ibiza), "Electricsex @ Eden" (Ibiza), "Unit 7" (London), "Kubicle" (London), along with the most famous djs such as Craig Richards, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Lucien-N-Luciano, Adam Beyer, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, Marco Carola and many others.

Since January 2007: he has been in the studio, producing for Safari Electronique with Arnaud Le Texier. Their first track "Awakenings" is on the Safari Sampler 4. He is also producing with Toni D for Kailash and Seven Killers Records. Their "Hazard EP" on Kailash, with remixes by Mark Broom and Le Texier, is out at the beginning of 2008 and on Spanish label Atypical Farm the track "Phone Bros" is out on may 2008. Luciano Esse is the resident dj of Amnesia club in Milan and resident dj for The Flame Music Department parties. The music he plays is basically techno in all its electronic shades. His constant music research never ends and allows him to play always different dj sets that find their trademark in big basslines and groovy rhythms.
