The Clinic@ Hendre Hall, Bangor

All i can say is what a night. I was pleasantly surprised by the night, as i expected a load of tosh. We arrived at an old stone building in the middle of nowhere, and as we stepped out of our mini-bus, were greeted to the sound of some 220bpm pounding through the stone.

 

£9 to get in, a stamp on your hand reading 'CLINIC' Music for the twisted generation. Oh and how right it was, as we walked into the grounds, a outdoor fire on your right, peple milling about outside chatting codshit to each other, then enter through some double doors that wouldnt be out of place over looking the grounds of your back garden. Once inside we were greeted by the thunderous bassline of some awesome Hardstyle, which was dished out by none other than CTW's very own IKON. On his 21st, he was playing first. Upon meeting him, i found out he was a sound bloke, and had been drinking since mid-day. Good show mate for being able to mix after 9 hours on the ale.

 

We then travelled through to the central room, were it was going off big time. Some steaming speedcore to really get you flying about the place, before Ribbz came on to slow it right down with an awesome selection of Techno, even if his mixing was a bit out some of the time, to which i was later told in Ikon's own words 'yeah man, the mixer is proper fucked'.

 

Later on we we went into the third room were their was a bit of D'n'B kicking out as well as some breaks.

 

But back to the central and front rooms, up next were Vortex in the fast room. Kicking out once again in excess of 200bom, i left my mates and went for a boogie to the slower and nicer vibe that Dolphin was throwing out. Then to the end of the night, where Mr Hard Trance himself popped in for Ikon's birthday, M-Zone. All i can say for this was W-O-W. Hadn't heard him play in a long time, and have to say it was a long wait.

 

As for the venue, its tops for a night like this. The security are great. The atmosphere is fantastic, and everyone is there to have a good time. No bad eyes or any of that malarky.

 

Will i be going back?

 

Oh i think so.
