well thats because, I guess the main aim is to build it to the point where we do all get to travel, to meet each other etc.

Like i say A, it would be ace to build it to the point where we get to meet you etc. Also it is nice to have peeps from other countries on the board, to chat about there club & meet experiences etc, do you not agree.

well, you seem to be contradicting yourself slightly but i see where you're coming from. to answer your question, i absolutely agree.

i don't really have much to add to my original question but as nobody really answered it, i'll take one more stab at getting an answer - why do some people think it's such a crime to simply ask questions such as the questions big_ee asked?

or, perhaps more specifically to Tony.P and Jay who seem to have a problem with big_ee's post, put another way why do you think it's a good thing to have a tiny number of active posters responsible for such a large amount of the forum content?

what I mean is, as I say the way I think James intends the board to be is, one of friends, who regularly meet up etc & my comment about building, is ment in the context of, eventually working our way/CTW to meets with our over sea's members, hope thats clearer & yes it would be great to have a huge board, of peeps that all know each other, on a personal level, who regularly meet up, for all kinds of things, be it hols, weekend trips, camping etc, be excellent

right ive read the whole post and to answer your question....i dont think bigees first post even asked a question. he posted the figures and then interpreted them how he saw fit.

if he has been making comments about ctw on other sites, then how can he expect anyone to really care about what he has to say!

yes, i listen to hardhouse and dj it but im certainly no 'hardhouse monkey' if thats what he likes to term us all as. i listen to, and appreciate all types of well produced music.

ctw is in the growing stages again after the problems with the old board. on a few occasions ive seen bigees posts regarding 'these are the sort of people we want on the board'.....no those are the sort of people HE wants on the board. ctw doesnt want to be like other boards. so what if we like hard house, to be honest the only posts i remember of bigees are similar to this, i dont really see him trying to be a bigger part of the community

not everyone has alot to type all the time, sometimes i just read the posts but dont feel like replying to anything for a few days...does this make me a bad member? i think not, i try to make meet-ups and enjoy the friendship that ctw has offered me. afterall THAT IS WHAT CTW IS ABOUT.

i have joined many forums and never posted because the forum was never right for me for many different reasons. members joining and not posting must happen on every message board so its not really just a 'ctw' problem

at the end of the day to become a member you ahve to make the effort to post otherwise people will not even get the chance to get to know who they are, or should we start leaving FAOs for evey new person in a bid to get them to post???

There have been a fair few Members who HAVE joined and who HAVE posted and ARE part of the so called "closed group".

For one, we don;t have a closed group.

Big ee, if you take a look at the New Members forum, and perhaps have a look at the New Members forum Text, you will see, that we welcome Members to the forum, in a nice manner. If this group was the "closed group" as you say (which is total cack, anyways), then how come most of ClubTheWorlds Members are willingly open to welcoming NEW people to the commuinty and etting them join us ? Mayeb Im not expressing myself properly, but im sure you catch my Nestles Chocolate Drifter.

People will post if they WANT to post. It has nothing to do with any closed group, we are community (or are trying to be without you pointing out things that are making us feel there is a 'problem') on the increase (not forget ClubTheWorld is still a baby) and are hoping in many moons to come this board will be more popular than it is now. More Members to join, and still will be ClubTheWorld where people communicate, make friends, go clubbing, go away on weekends, holidays etc etc

How about you start posting a bit more eh, and be one of us A CORE MEMBER.

One LAST thing I would very much like to point out, is, thet you, big ee, have contributed nothing more to this site, than put up a thread and try and, hmmm 'belittle' (?) the site.

Why not just leave us get on with it, eh ?

As I said before, stats mean nothing. It's the quality that counts.

erm other than attending loads of meet ups since I joined in Mid - 2002, supporting James, Kev, SarahPVC and loads of other people in the background. Often being the only CTW member involved in another CTW member's event or night. Promoting Funky house so that we wern't CONSTANLY swamped with hard house. And lastly and perhaps least posting items that stimulate debate, and try to help people to see a different side of the story, (tho normally to little or no effect.)

Despite Ali explaining this 15 different way's can't u see that .

1) This is not belittling..it's a debate!!

2)It's not a critisism it's a concern.

3) It's a problem, but if it is worked on it can be solved.

4) Burying head's in sand and lashing out won't solve anything.
