Anyone ever thought about using mIRC? It's an amazing easy to use chat client.

 

I am friends with an IRCop on a server in the USA who says that we can have a registered chat room as long as we have enough people using it.

 

James, what do ya think, go onto the USA server?

yep - mIRC is definitely the best one but infortunately I and others cant use it at work. I have actually found a nice chat client which was written for, and will integrate perfectly with this forum. There are also a number of other 'addons' which I'm looking into and will apply over the next week.

 

My problem at the moment is time - I'm out tonight at Bagleys until 6am and then after a few hours sleep back out to Gatecrasher - returning on Sunday for Rat & Parrot and then going to a programming conference on Monday night. So it will be Tuesday at least before I can get on with this stuff! This is why I need some weekends off occassionally!

 

We'll see how the new chat thing goes and then if it's not good enough definitely go with mIRC - we should be able to get at least 15 names I would think.
