Did anyone actually manage to get any pics of gatecrasher NEC this april? We were sooo pissed off that we couldnt take digi cameras in. Let me know of any links if there are? Cheers peeps!

Why was there no digital cameras allowed? Was this a strict press photographers only event? To be honest, I dont see the point in it.

There was a no digital camera/video camera policy in force. It was in small print on the back of the tickets but we didnt see it so got our cameras taken off us at the door. They said it was because of the professional photographers. We argued and said that photos even taken with a cheap throw away camera are of a better resolution & quality when scanned in but they didnt listen. I just hope its not the same at the big outdoor events this year!

James had the same [censored] problem, we were all looking forward to some amazing piccies in there and he gets it taken off him so therefore no pics for the site! What with us meeting up with other CTW members it was even more annoying, there were about 10 CTW there and thats what [censored] me off most! Like AJ said, I cannot understand all this [censored], at the end of the day it does these massive events good when pics of their events on websites, it makes others wanna go too! But bollox to them, when ClubTheWorld start major events we wont ban anyone coz we WANT EVERYONE TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCES!!!

You might want to check out the actual gatecrasher website becuase the do have some good pics there, not as good pics as the October one but still good!

yeh i got a whole load of pictures as i took in a disposable one! i will e mail them to james when i get a moment and get him to put them up

Sarah - jeez - only just saw your post - in fact theres a whole bunch I've missed - so apologies.

 

I had exactly the same problem and I too cant see WHY the organisers are so f*cking stupid to dis-allow it.

 

What particularly pissed me off was;

1) If I knew that I would have at least taken a standard camera (although this was my fault for not checking beforehand, although I dont think you should have to)

2) Once in there I saw at least a dozen people who had smuggled them in

 

It really did ruin the first 2 hours for me as I kept seeing lots of wicked potential pics.

 

There was an official camerman there but I wasn't after pictures of the layout / stage I was after the members. It really f*cks me off and is totally un-necessary.

 

I have only ever experienced this at Gatecrasher, Privilege-Ibiza (although I did get it in in the end on VIP) and according to my sources Ministry is going to have a problem too !!

 

I am seriously not going to bother going to clubs which dis-allow this - unless they can give me a f*cking good reason. I want to remember all my nights out otherwise there is no f*cking point.

correction - Kev - we wont just allow ANYONE in - everyone EXCEPT the IDIOTS who make up these stupid rules!!! They are not my kind of people.

 

As kev says it can only do them GOOD - I have had SO MANY emails from people in different countries wanting to come to some of the clubs we visited because it LOOKED cool.

 

nuff said.

 

The first CTW event will have live web cams, cams on the queue in, cams in the toilet - everything photographed - and FREE prints to registered members prior to the event!

We actually put an official complaint in on the night to one of the organisers of the event & was told that we were amongst a lot of people that had made the same complaint & that it would be logged along with all the others. I wonder how far that got?!!
