Guest Kether
The only record store that I've been to and got to know the staff was Goodlife records in Leamington Spa but that closed down a couple of years ago. It was a bit like Cheers where they'd hang out in the bar, me and a few mates would hang out in the record shop and we'd meet all the other regulars in there. Usually going into a record shop for the first time is a little bit intimidating because the people behind the counter are usually quite arsey and you feel like you're walking into a salloon in a western. I love shopping online, it's so easy - you can do it on your own time and there's much more choice.

CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted April 12, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted April 12, 2004 QUOTE (Ian Cashman @ Apr 12 2004, 00:42) the only decent techno outlet i found online was smallfish records and covert Try Mad Records in Soho - loads of quality techno & it's run by a really nice guy. (And I mean "techno", not "minimal hard house"!)

Your either into VERY obscure stuff or not looking hard enough Chris: These are the kind of producers I'm into (i.e. proper techno): Adam Beyer (my fav producer at the mo.) Marco Bailey Hardcell Henrik B Umek Hertz Adam Jay Fumiya Tanaka etc. Do you know any sites that sell that kind of stuff? Like Ian said, you can look on any site and find Dave the gay-ass Drummer and Guy Mcaffer or what ever his name is and the 128 identical hard house tunes they've made and labled techno to sound cool and underground. Will deffo have a look in Mad when I'm in London next (unless you're trying to set me up and its really some dodgey homo-erotica shop).
