Tiesto matey I've been back over 2 weeks and still haven't got over it. I went to Global Gathering the day after I got back and that didn't cure me, so I guess that there's no hope.

 

Only kidding! It does get easier with time, I'm sure when you've had a feew good nites out back in good ol' Blighty that it'll all seem like a distant memory, or here's to hopin it does!

Nice one Tresh, I'm going for two weeks and I hear all these horror stories from the one weekers about how they all get depressed, what the [censored] os gonna happen to me when I get back after TWO!!!!

Think positively after the 2 weeks, you'll have a 2 month comedown. But after the 2 months you'll look back and realise you had the best 2 weeks of your life... then the vicious circle will start all over again.

I was a holiday rep for near enough six months last summer before I was disgracefully chucked back to England! It took me 6 weeks to get over it, a further 5 weeks to get my arse in gear and sort myself out with another job and even now I have evil viscious bastard flashbacks of when I was out there!

 

Next year I will be returning regardless of whether it'll be repping of otherwise from April through to October! Nuff said, jobs a good 'un!

Is it difficult to become a rep? How long is the season? Just toying with the idea of doing it when I finish uni...

To become a Rep is pretty easy-ish! Get an application form from I'd say Thomson because they are the best! Fill out the app, send it back and wait - usually around 1 week - for a reply and get an interview! This interview is a group interview and basically shows how well you get on with others, I got through coz I was in a group of fuckwits, you do a presentation in front of everyone, you then have a one on one with a former Rep who then tests your one on one skills! Wait another few days, get the okay for a 1 weeks intensive course of how to be a good rep - my arse! You do this and if you are a REALLY [censored] then you get told to [censored] off and dont come back! However, after an attendee number of 50 people on one got told to go home - pretty impressive! You the get another one on one interview and thats when they tell you where you're going to be working! Literally 7-10 days after that you are on the plane to resort! EXCELLENT!

 

Why did I get chucked home? It was a 3 strikes and you're out rule and I hit 3 strikes! Au reviour! As to what they were I cant say on a public forum I'm afraid!
