CTW Members Sparky Posted March 19, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted March 19, 2004 Hats off to Eliot (Billy Gonzales) for arranging what was effectively a party with subsidised obscenely cheap booze with an internationally renowned DJ (love him or hate him) playing for us... oh and it was all for charity! Was very proud of Eliot behind the decks and we did our best for him on the stage and dancefloor. We properly had it on a schoolnight and I am feeling the effects this morning. Funnily enough there were a few beerboys in attendance, but I felt sorry for Jules because he blatantly did not want to be associated with them but they definitely follow him around. I really enjoyed myself and was pleased to see a reasonable crowd in attendance too. I'll find out today how much money we raised but I have a feeling it'll be around the £1,000 mark. I saw u at one point, just after my set and I was rushing to the bar to get a drink before going back into the box to help Jules out so didn't stop to chat. As an organizer we were trying to make him as comfortable as possible and he needed that drink! How long did u stay for? I never saw u after that and I was around- it's not exactly massive in there- how did I not find u? James: Kris said u were surprised to hear I DJed. Do u not remember our chat at the Coronet when I first decided on going under the name Billy Gonzalez? Maria: Thanks for the praise That final tune is actually my favourite too- BEAUTIFUL! I had run out of time and asked Jules if he was ready, he said "u're doing well- do u wanna play another?" So I did!
