of all the other boards i've been on (HF, 4C, Tidy, some others) i don't really care what the concept of any of those boards are. i might have read their 1-pager about what the site is about, but that's about it after that. i just surf the msg board for chatting & meetups & info.

whilst i don't really mind that much i think that most of us treat this as a message board to post in the general forums than to look at info about the site and other topics

 

It may lead the site to have a more professional look to it, but in reality it is making it less userable by those of us that do use it. I have left it til now to post on this issue as have waited to see if it works for me or not. Tonight i have found that u can't visit the site and at a brief glance see if there are any new topics, without scrolling down first. Whilst only a minor irritance, it could lead to the impression being given that the board is not used very often, if the first few forums u can immediately see have very few topics in them (eg site update and the interviews etc forum)
