Look I'm sorry to bang on but the afternoon especially is proving difficult and I've got to get this stuff out of my head.

 

I FIRMLY BELIEVE THIS WAS AN ATTACK ON THE CLUB AND WAS A DELIBERATE ARSON ATTACK.

 

Everything I have seen in my life so far which has been a success has been destroyed out of others not being able to accept the fact that they aren't at the top - there are a lot of jealous people out there and very greedy people out there.

 

I'm sorry I just have this GUT FEELING that the news aint gonna be good and that there is gonna be war in clubland. I DONT believe this was purely an accident.

 

On the bright side Garlands WILL come back STRONGER THAN EVER and the people will be EVEN MORE BONDED than they were before - so whoever did this has made a big mistake.

i have to agree with you. i've never been to garlands but the way people talk about it, it was clearly a special place. that said, at the end of the day it was 'just' a building and what made it really special were the people who went and the experiences everybody had there.

 

nobody can take that away.

I think things when things like this happen is clubland it is often a case of who has upset who or who hasnt paid who money owed. A lot of things that happen in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester etc are usually to do with gangster 'warfare'. I know Garlands will be extremely missed but if it is to do with gangster stuff then be thankful that it was only the club that was damaged.

to be honest sarah, i think people jump to that conclusion too quickly. fair enough, sankey soap in manchester was closed for this reason, but because it had so many bad words said against it, when it first re-opened, people were reluctant to go back.

 

Thankfully, its all alot better now, but i really dont feel garlands is the type of club that needs this, especially at the moment.

 

i hope that people dont start jumping to these sorts of conclusions.

ok ok - I've just re-read my messages and admit I flew off the handle a bit - I was still in denial but I know thats no excuse - I just couldnt see this as possibly being an accident because if there is a god why would it let this happen???

 

It is entirely likely of course that it is in fact an accident and accidents DO happen, and no one is to blame, so I will shut up now and I'll stop moaning like a kid in a sweetshop.

 

Apologies if anyone was offended by any of my comments - you know me I just say whats in my head at the time without thinking quite often.

The thing is, people are always going to jump to this conclusion where nightclubs are concerned. It happens all the time its just most nightclubs dont reach the headlines like Garlands did.
