A Scottish holidaymaker has been found dead on a beach on Ibiza.

The Spanish Police are treating the death of Mark Cowan, from Prestwick, Ayrshire, as suspicious.

 

It is believed the 20-year-old had only recently travelled to the Balearic Island with a group of friends.

 

He was found in the sand at the Spanish island resort of San Antonio on Sunday.

 

Post mortem

 

The Foreign Office said relatives had been informed but the exact circumstances of his death were not known.

 

A spokesman said the results of a post mortem examination were not yet known

Since the police are treating the death as suspicious, then it sounds to me as if it is something more than drug related.
