everyone.........i have a question

I need to know if anyone knows of a way of suspending decks and a mixer on a boat. I want to completely eliminate vibrations from the dance floor and any movement which is caused by the waves from the river. Should i use a flight case with some sort of shock absorbers from the roof, or have you lot got any better ideas?

Pre mix it, record it onto CD and then pretend...

 

Either that or suspend it and use some sort of damping system but it would be fuckin hard to do..

 

Couple of questions

 

How big is the boat?

 

How big are the waves?

 

I might be able to figure something out - will give it some thought

at the garlands boat parties they just use cushioned flight cases and have no problems at all

The boat is the Queen Mary on the Thames by Waterloo Bridge. It holds 250-300 people and the waves can be big if a large boat goes past.

I'll ask my mate who runs large boat parties - his mate DJs on them but I'm pretty sure they too just use cushions!

 

Like the idea of the 'suspended decks' though - very classy - will have to have these at our first event!
