Who has got any tattoos ? Where are they and what are they of ? What do you think of tattoos ... Quality or Tacky ?

Well,

 

sad to say I had tatoos, 3 in total when I was 15/16, and hate them more each day. Stupid flags 'n bad tast crap like that.

 

Currently having laser treatment for removal, and spent 2k+ to get rid of em, and a long way to go.

 

Think real long and hard b4 getting 1 done.

 

They are a menace to me, and have a real effect on my life. I have to wear long sleeves mostly as I am disgusted by them..

I like tattoos but not too many and they must be quality art. I've got a small black cross on the back of my neck which I designed myself

I've got 2 at the mo, but have got them done in places that are not easy to see, mainly cos of my job etc. Both are Celtic stuff. One is on my leg and the other on my back. I regret the one on my leg which I got done when I was 18.

 

Does laser treatment remove the tattoo completely or does it leave a mark ?

i think if people just pick something off the wall in the shop, they're more likely to regret it later as there's hardly any personal connection.

 

my first tattoo was a gift from my girlfriend when i lived in london in 1990. we don't talk any more but it's a nice reminder of some good times. it was done by Dennis Cockell in London (so I have something in common with Sex Pistol Steve Jones!). here it is:

my second was done last year. it's a pattern i doodled myself one day while on the phone at [censored]. i liked it so i drew it properly and stuck it on a piece of paper by my front door. i walked past it every day for about 6 months and one day it just said "it's time" so i had it tattooed on my arm. a very good friend of mine in glasgow is a tattoo artist and he did it on me. here it is:

i love them both. i can not imagine regretting them later in life because they both have special meaning to me.

Ive got two tatoos - one is japaneese symbol & means strength - the other is a celtic design at the bottom of my back. The bottom of my back one was really painful!!

I don't think they are removed totally ever by laser treatment, but are barely visible. Certain colours are much harder to remove ie; green. I may have to have small bits of green removed with surgery. The laser removal is much more painful too!!

 

One of them I may have covered over with a Chinese design.

ive got my name in japanese goin accross the very top of my arm.. dont really like tatoos now, prefer piercings cos wen u get bored of em u can take em out, unfortunatly u cant wiv tatoos.

I've got 2. one on each upper arm. the right one is a Rusty's surfwear emblem, that i had done when i was about 18 and seriously into my surfing. The on on the left is a black sun with a cross in the middle of it, which i dont like anymore and keep meaning to go and see my tatoo artist to get something else added to it. I still love the one on the right though.

I want some adding onto my japenese symbol - i think white ink looks quite effective. A few of my mates have got theirs outlined in white - UV would be quite interesting too if it didnt kill u 1st!
