CTW DJs DJ Elemental Posted October 3, 2002 CTW DJs Share Posted October 3, 2002 Does anyone else find, that after you click the submit button to post your message and to preview your post, the forums crash Internet Explorer. The error is from Mshtml.dll I dunno what that is but the forums often crash on my home system because of it, and it has now crashed the college one too. Anyone experience this problem? or is it just ickle old me? Quote http://bos.abavagada.net/oddfiles/djelementalonline.jpg

CTW Reviewers Wub Wub Posted October 3, 2002 CTW Reviewers Share Posted October 3, 2002 I get that happening sometimes. If I click in the general area of the POST button, but miss, if I click it again it crashes. Very odd. Sometimes, my PC even sees fit to run Norton Anti-Virus when I try and post. Quote Harder. CTW Members FredTheBaddie Posted October 3, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted October 3, 2002 It only happens with IE. Solution: Don't use IE. CTW Admin James Posted October 3, 2002 CTW Admin Share Posted October 3, 2002 i get it too now and cant [censored] the damn thing out ! Some days its bad some days it aint - I also get memory problems in the top level of the gallery / photos section which is really winding me up - I'm looking at switching from this open-source product to another licenced product but still unsure / skint! hehe skippy - layout changed yeah, but by accident - basically the tables / text is smaller in width and its auto-sized down leaving the black background. Some have said they dont like it at all, others have said its ok but have navy blue as the background - I'm still in 2 minds - if you go to 'about us' - or the link that says about 'background' at the top of the main page you will see that page is size 100% width - I can easily change the homepage back but I kind of liked it and noticed it as standard on some magazine sites. Basically, in essence, just because its 70% width today doesnt mean it will be tomorrow - depends on the content - but to be honest i'm thinking of chucking it back to 100% - you can still resize it down by changing the window size so I guess what I'm saying is "do we really want it to ever show the darker background / smaller "magazine style" width ??? One thing I've noticed doing this site is that I'm never happy with anything! hehehe Right now I'm also trying to think up some fancy navigation bar graphics to go at the top of the forums/calendar/live chat etc... OR to have the same header/nav bar as on the main page - but just worried about there not being enough room to view forums etc.. properly.
