Suggestions Please - The ClubTheWorld "Blue" ...

I'm in the middle of configuring the new galleries and I'm just wondering whether anyone actually likes the CTW "blue" scheme we have - I personally quite like it on the forums but sometimes it gets a bit much on the eyes etc... I showed sarah some other sites which had darker background in the photo sections (not just clubbing sites) and the picture do stand out better & clearer - would anyone object if we had a darker scheme in the photo galleries section - of course we will still have the same CTW logo at the top of the page.

 

How do you feel about the 'blue scheme' in general - do you like it on the main site, do you like it on the forums ? Is there anything you would change to make it look even better ?

On a tangent slighty here, I've noticed in your profile you can set the 'scheme' for the website. Is it possible to have a number of different schemes in different colours, and let the individual choose ?

Plus points are that when I'm at [censored], it won't be 'that blue site' again !

Downside is that it dilutes the site's identity. At the moment, the blue scheme is immediatley identifiable as Club The World, as soon as you see it you think of the website. Having multiple colour schemes could erode this.

yep - i can do this - so long as the default is blue i dont see it as an issue - i may well create a scheme for my own benefit which looks more like '[censored]' than what it really is ! The blue is so fecking obvious from a mile off !

It's easy on the old eyes on a comedown. I think the blue should stay. It's easy to read, looks pleseant enough, and even if your monitor is [censored] you can still make out the gyst of it.

OOOOHHHH OOOHHHHH can we have skin editors/ selections please., please please please...i could have the 'Tipping the Velvet' wallpaper for my club the world theme for home, and something really boring at [censored]..

Why not do us a sample page with the other blue on it then we have something to show everyone & compare it with?

Blue should stay as it's now what everyone's used too, i'm up for seeing other samples tho, as Sarah said, post them up as images to compare.

If anyone wants to 'be my guest' and create a new stylesheet, using the current one as a template, please do so ! I've attached it !

 

Blue should, and will stay, this was really just a debate about the the new gallery colour scheme.

 

Guess I'm just been lazy / delaying effort required - I'll get on with it !

for my 20 cents worth ctw is the best clubbing site on the net and the colors are fine....coz its not about colors its about clubbing and wonderful people...so i think if it aint broke dont fix it !
