i can understand why sometimes you right a post ie. about an event suggestion for example your birthday, and no one can reply except moderators!!! i think if you dont want people to reply then moderators shouldnt be allowed either! cos its really anoying when i try to reply and i cant!

 

just a suggestion.

 

but i can understand why you dont want people to reply, cos it will totally go off topic and end up being 3 pages of bollocks!

I tend to post the same topic in both the Events Suggestions and the CTW Clubbing Schedule. The reason for the schedule is so that Newbies/members can see a quick list of where we are going, without all the bollox in between posts. The CTW Schedule Forum will go eventually anyway as it will be a dynamically driven table/schedul on the main site.

Unfortunately, we've got bollocks from moderators between posts in the XLR8 post in the schedule.

Didn't think we were sposed to have discussion in the schedule ?

I think he meant in any of the CTW schedule, but picked up that Grant had asked if everyone was still goin to it that had put their name on the list and i replied that i was still up for goin so that must amount to random bollox confused.gif

As James had said, there should be anything in the CTW Schedule posts apart from details of the events and attendees. Bit like it is now. I assume James has deleted the replies.

Don't you thnk it's a bit out of order that Grant can post "Is EVERYONE still going to this", but only mods can reply ?

Poor non-mods can't make themselves heard. We are supposed to have a non-hierarchical structure after all.

Grant's post should have gone in Event Suggestions or similar, I'm sure there's a post about XLR8 already.

Since potential attendee's are meant to EMail James, Kev or Sarah, I was merely checking (with one of these administrators) if, to the best of their knowledge, the named member's were still going.

I don't see really how it has caused confusion, or how it's my fault ?!

ok guys - this isn't grant's fault or anyone else's...

 

i didnt realise that all mods could post in any section - regardless if they are a mod or not in that specific section - the software is a bit crazy like that - like also allowing any mod to ban/unban users/IP addresses - these types of things should only be available to admins. At some point I will hack it so that only people allocated to updating the CTW Schedule can post in there.
