[ Site News ] - CMS Nearly Here !

I know most of these posts are boring for you lot but a) I like to keep everyone informed and like your feedback and I do it so i've got a history of what I did when and why as I've got the worst memory on earth! - these posts also acts as a reminder!

 

After MONTHS of searching I think I've finally found the product for our dynamic content needs and to make this site grow. As you know at the moment we've really only got the forums and the photo gallery but its my intention to grow the bits hanging off the main site and to also not use the forums as a dumping ground for everything. Right now only myself can edit the main pages and its a very manual process. With the new CMS I and others from anywhere in the country, or world for that matter, can add and update articles, templates etc.. I had thought about writing my own or indeed using one a friend is working on but my time is so limited now that it makes sense to just buy a tried-and-tested excellent product and have access to free upgrades/enhancements. This was the method I decided to use for the forums and gallery and I think its paid off as I've had hardly any problems, plus these products are supported. This is good news as I can now spend more and more of my time thinking and acting on new ideas for the site and us and turn this into a really thriving community (not that it isnt now!). Anyway, boring stuff I know but making this decision and now also having Sarah [censored] with me closer and closer and help out financially we can really move this stuff forward, so huge thanks to her!!!
