CTW Members Teska Posted November 11, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted November 11, 2002 What a PARTY this was!! The best I've been to in NL since I've come! Met up with evilhedfuk, Ed, and what a wild, crazy, fun, night! 12,000 tickets sold...to a 5 dj lineup, Tiesto, Sandra Klienenberg-he was the first up, and was one of my favorites of the night), Paul Van Dyk (major disappointment...1/2 way thru the show, was announced he was too 'sick to attend.' But, the other djs made up for it! Brilliant light shows, amazing sound, not too crowded, not too hot, and the Dutch know how to PARTAAAAYYY!! Hardly any sleep the night before, broke out the redbull&vodka, I didn't stop moving from 11pm until.... uh, what time did it end?? Great meeting you Ed, too bad you couldn't make it to ADam, was gorgeous sunny day, not too hectic, great music at the coffeeshops....we'll have to do it again! CTW Members Evilhedfuk Posted November 12, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted November 12, 2002 It was definately a mental night! The music and atmosphere were fantastic. Tiesto really rocked the place, there's definately something special about him playing Urban Train and Lethal Industry in his home country. The Statenhal is huge, with over 12000 peeps there, the vibe was awesome. Dutch people are definately mad, but do have a strange taste in clothes Were a couple of problems however, we had to queue for an hour and a half to get in, the line was as wide as it was long so didn't get anywhere fast. By the time we had got in we had missed nearly all of Sander Kleinenberg, then the announcement that PVD was 'ill' in Amsterdam. Once we were in we had to queue to get a ticket for the cloak room, then queue to put our coats in as well as having to queue to get drinks tokens only to have to queue again to get drinks, which when u bought a water had no lid! And the toilets were ridiculous! Just think 12000 people and just 2 sets of loos, each with only 4 cubicles and 5 urinals in (dunno bout the ladies). It also finished early too, and I got seperated from my mates as I went for a piss and the nasty doormen didn't let me back to the dancefloor! Other than that it was wicked, Tiesto blasted out CJ Bolland - The Prophet at the end of his set which made the crowd go wild. I'd defo do it again. Should have pics by the end ot the week
CTW Members Teska Posted November 12, 2002 Author CTW Members Share Posted November 12, 2002 That was the only difference between both of our nights! I got there so early, I didn't have to deal with all of the problems...the cue, the coat check, and I don't know why, but surprisingly for a woman's restroom, all times but the first, the lines weren't bad at all! All that sticks in my mind is dance, the lights, dance, the lights, dance, dance, dance!! Funny, your comment on Dutch fashion....I find it so stylish! Plus the Dutch, as a whole, I find good looking...did you think so?? must be the Danish influence...its said the prettiest women come from Denmark & Sweden!! Cheers !!! I'm not saying that the dutch dress bad but there was quite a range. From Cyberkids to women in evening gowns, and funny looking men swapping straw hats????? There were definately alot of beautiful people there, including you and me of course Look forward to the pics! See ya!
CTW Members Signum Posted November 12, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted November 12, 2002 I am moving in Febuary, looking forward to it! and about the most beautiful women from denmark/sweden, that is of course wrong, since as everyone knows, the most beautiful women come from Iceland
