I played a good set and really enjoyed avin a good 20 peeps dancing which was a massive feet for Stevenage on a Thursday ina 9-11 bar!!! It was a good feeling gettin' peeps up and movin'!!!!! ... the start of the DJ'in/promoting ladder for me

 

 

Got fkd after as well which is always good!!!!

Well we're not avin any main night at Pulse/Vogue any more with big name DJ's but will carry on with our weekly nights @ The Square in Stevenage ona weekly basis so come down for a little taster of Cupid if anybody's around in the area.

 

We will be moving to a new North London venue over the next few months and so we'll keep ya posted on this one!!!!! It will be a full night from 10 - 6 and will take place monthly ona Saturday night.

Details for the competition:

 

Organisers: Cupid promotions

 

Venue: The Square bar (Stevenage Leisure Park)

 

Date: Thursday 5th December 2002

 

Time: 7pm - 11pm

 

Purpose: A bit of fun for the local talent and to help the promotional team get a feel for who might be suitable for playing in our weekly Square nights and maybe even our future London events.

 

Style: Any style is welcome from the more funky/techy side of house to more uplifting house/trance as well as the harder side to those two genres. We aim for a spectrum of house in our nights although it does progress pretty quickly into harder dance.

 

Judging/other information: The competition will be judged by both promoters and several other unconfirmed promoters/DJ's. A percentage grading will be given together with a placing where up to eight DJ's may be entering. Sets must be between 30 minutes and 45 minutes and this will be agreed on the night. All DJ's have to try and make it for 7pm; especially the DJ's playing earlier styles of music. You can choose to not mix from the DJ before you but this may effect your mark. Please be ready to go on well before your due to start.
