If it were me, i'd rather lose my decks than my vinyl, i know that for sure! The memories are in the music for me - decks etc, can be replaced ... memories can't.

 

And if i were a thief, i'd nick the lot, flog the equipment and keep the tunes.

Nick yeah, it is a lot about my vinyl, had fookin loads and it takes time to build up a good collection and i was thinkin i was finally gettin somewhere with it too!!

From a legal view point, if you give an item of yours to some one else and they accept that its in their care, then don't they have a duty of care to that item. Thus, if they loose or damage or destroy that item then they are responsible.

 

For example, If you rented a TV from a place and damaged it, then the TV hire company will expect you to make up any shortfall that they suffer as a result of this.
