Inside Out New Year at the arches Glasgow

10pm-4am and a bit

 

I was at the arches for Inside out and I can't say anything more than it was [censored] AMAZING!

At midnight the place just exploded with beer and smirnoff ice as everyone jumped about the place, and with all the lights blazing it was one of the most beautiful things I've seen, you couldn't hear what tune was on for the cheering but after that Simon Foy came on and played some damn fine tunes as usual.

 

The play room was pretty good, and the wee arch was great for a while. John Johnston led up to the bells and was really good, Foy after was great like I said above, and Fraser Latta at the end was bang on, nobody leaving. I missed Corven Dalek I think but I heard yves de reuter who was good as usual. Tunes of the night, Layo and Bushwacka in the play room, Cafe del Mar in the main arch annnnnnnnd (ooh me memory urts!) Ferry Corsten - Punk played at least twice that night, a real IO tune.

 

It cost £35 but it was probably my best night there ever, (*coughs* ) worth every cent. I am definately going again.

 

One hilarious thing was this guy in the small toilets ripped off the condom machine off the wall, proceeded to smash it off the walls and my cubicle door (aaaah!) while shouting and screaming 'HAPPY NEW YEAR!' over and over. Then when he dropped it on the floor all these pound coins came spilling out and he started picking them up (still shouting happy new year) while we all stared at him, just waiting for security to turn up and most likely remove his legs but they didn't until he was just leaving - he even said to one of them "some nut just started smashing it, crazy man' or something. I saw him later on at the bar, I think he got away with it!
