you have to create genres though really dont you, if was all under the title "music" then it would all be very vague

i agree with you. i wanted to keep it short as i have a bit of a reputation for, er, rambling 

my substantive point was pigeon-holing certain genres for the purposes of musical snobbery is, well, snobbery.

people are, of course, entitled to their opinions but comments like "trance is shite" or "commercial dance is shite" are of questionable value and add nothing to a forum like this. all in my opinion, of course...

I think some of the commercial dance stuff is ok but I don't like the way they try and classify it as trance coz well.......its not.

 

I love my trance but at the moment hard house and hard trance is taking over as my favourite....but yes we need to do some good uplifting trancey dancey nights and the cross is a good start!

Even better Ray....come to club Escape in Amsterdam, every Friday is really good trance.

 

And on Saturday night is the Chemistry party~proggy tech house oozing with funk (the best party & music (always different local djs) I've in found NL...you'd really like it...lotsa sexy people too)!
