drug reference moderating

can we have some realistic approaches to this please?

 

it's blatant that 95% of the people on this site are clubbers, 90% are over the legal age for most things, 80% use substances possibly very regularly, and at least 10% of the people on here are mature enough to make their own minds up when they read about drugs.

 

censoring words just means people do th.is to it

 

or maybe i'm barking up completely the wrong tree

2ndly, i dont want to read about people taking drugs. and i personally report threads/posts that are blatantly promoting drug usage.

 

i can turn a blind eye too "i was sooo fuked" etc but actually being so blunt as "i did 10 lines of ######" like some people on here are i think deserves to get deleted. theres more to clubs than drugs

well after TW5 everybody is gonna be going on forever about what they did and how fooked they were. i've already seen ke.t mentioned half a dozen times

 

btw I'm not saying encourage ppl top say how many lines of X they did by a long shot mate, just saying that i don't think everyone should be jumped on when they give the slightest hint they were muffed at the weekend, cos it'll get like a prison camp and everyone WILL just put a "." in the words

 

apart from the fact that of course a great deal of the fun at TW being talked about/remembered may be erm.....slightly related to stuff taken

 

besides everyone here is too sensible to do dru.gs neway

all people need to say is "i was messy" or "i was bolloxed" - we get the idea - no need for specifics.. (89.3% of members are bored by drugs talk - ok i made that up lol)

 

plenty of other boards out there for people to talk about drugs in great detail - and with a much better chance of getting the right advice etc

 

i perhaps agree on not actually censoring certain words though - i will review it

all word filters now removed apart from the C word as it got soooo out of hand on the old board - if people REALLY want to use it they can as you say re-structure the word - i prefer words like 'kent'

I think most peeps are aware that drugs are on the club scene, but I thibk TBH Phil, James is just trying to cut peeps down from constantly harping on about what they have done & glorifying it, I could be wrong!!
