Quoting myself there! Ascenscion was good to start off with, hard trance downstairs and house upstairs; had just moved upstairs and some amazing track was coming on when suddenly it stopped! Some guy started playing the bongo's. Enough said there. Went downstairs, no music there either. Apparently a fuse blew, but apparently a lot of things happened. Got the afterparty though, 4-9, and no power problems there!

 

If you were there make sure you call and get a free ticket to March 15th, I did!

bongos can be ok if mixed into housey tracks and not too loud, they had them last night at colours

 

hard trance and bongos though?? maybe he just kept playing after the sound system went...

it was one of my best ever nights - didnt realise anyone else was goin from the site.

 

fookin annoying that the music went off but the after party just finished the night off as it was supposed to be!!!

the goodgreef crowd are stunning, really friendly peeps will definatley be goin again

 

steph - do u know what kind of a night it is goin to be - will it be run by goodgreef? cos apparently hed kandi is supposed to be that wkend. cheers

The next good greef at ascension is 29th March with halliwell, shan and savage in main room then trophy twins, dj fluff and kris james in house room!! So i dont think if its a ticket for ascension for the 15th that it will be good greef....

 

However if it is a ticket for tall trees it is good greef and the line up is tidy boys, lee haslam and shan in hard dance toom and kris james in house room!!

Claire's right about the lineup, should be even better. I thought it was good up until the power cut (obviously) but I've had better

just checked the ascencion web site and it is goodgreef woohoo!! anyone else goin? will definatley be there - wondering if that means there will be two goodgreef wkends in a row ?!! damn well hope so

“Everyone at Ascension has thoroughly enjoyed Goodgreef’s monthly party at the venue, all three of which have sold out and been fabulous nights. It was therefore all the more disappointing that the party on Saturday February 22nd had to be cut short.

 

It was stopped at about 1.30am, for reasons totally beyond anyone’s control. A freak power surge knocked out the electricity supply to one of the 3 phase systems. Again we would like to re-iterate that this was totally beyond the control of anyone at Goodgreef and Ascension and was a disappointment because it curtailed earlier than expected. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Goodgreef’s loyal and up-for-it clientele for the controlled way in which they exited the building and for their understanding response to this unfortunate situation. You won’t need us to point out after the twin nightclub tragedies in America that a minor situation can quickly get out of hand. The behaviour of the Goodgreef crowd was testament to their intelligence, in stark contrast to the way clubbers are often portrayed in the media.

 

Although they only missed two and a half hours of fun, everyone at Goodgreef and Ascension would like to thank them for their behaviour and try to repay them. Therefore anyone who gets in touch with Goodgreef or Ascension with their ticket for the 22nd or some proof they were at the party, will automatically be offered FREE entry to a special one-off party on Saturday March 15th 03, there will also be a number of free places on the door on a first come first served basis for those who haven’t got a ticket. The line-up and details of the party will be announced in due time, but will be sure to feature the DJs and atmosphere that has made Goodgreef No1 Club in the UK.

 

For one night only Goodgreef are suggesting that you attend this ‘ELECTRIC’ Party dressed as Maintenance Men (Boiler suits) and Ladies be creative. Best dressed will win a bottle of Champagne.
