Dear Clubbers,

 

Please could you Email or PM me if you are definitely interested in coming to Ibiza with us this Summer. I am trying to find out exactly how many people there are who want to fly out and share accommodation with us. Once I have this figure I can then let the travel company know and hopefully get a better deal for us all.

 

We are going for the first 2 weeks of September - basically the same dates we went last year:

 

30th August - 13th September 2003

 

The price will be a maximum of £350 for 2 weeks - this includes the flights from Gatwick and the accommodation in San Antonio Bay. I'm not sure if we can sort out flights from other airports just yet but will certainly look into it. I will also look into whether we can do a deal for people wanting to just go for the first week in September.

 

The price will drop depending on how many we can get on the group booking. I know many of you are wanting to book last minute in which case do not reply to this email. Please only reply if you are definitely interested in either a 2 week or 1 week holiday with us. Ensure you include your full name and location in your reply.

 

A gut feeling tells me that there are about 100 of you of have said 'yes' but not all could fit this date. This date however has been chosen as it suits the majority - so hopefully we'll have 60+ of us going. If we can do it properly this year next year will be HUGE !

 

Please reply ASAP and also let me know when you would be in a position to put a deposit down - lets get this sorted so we all have one huge blinder to look forward to ! If you have any other questions or concerns about Ibiza let me know ASAP.

only had 2 deposits so far - not looking good - but i wont stop trying!

 

the problem i've realised is this ...

 

People want to (quite rightly) know the EXACT details of the flights/accom - which I cant give until i know EXACT numbers / have deposits to actually secure the accomodation.

 

If it all goes tits up this year and we have to arrange our own flights/accom again (not ideal as we end up in different accom/locations), then next year I will see if I can borrow like £50k from the bank to put a deposit down on a hotel first! lol

Am definatly up for coming but what method of pmt for deposit is best??? Can do cash or credit card or cheque so take ur pick....and where would be sent it to?

so far the list of names required for this isnt looking good! It would seem that most have been scared off paying deposits. I can also only accept cash/cheque paid into my account as it all needs to be paid in one lump some for us to get the discount.

 

I wont give up just yet but its proving to be an administration nightmare - plus everyone wants clear confirmation on where we are staying - which I cant say until all the deposits are in etc...

 

If things cock-up this year at least i've learnt some valuable lessons and know how to plan things better next year perhaps. Live n learn !

 

WHATEVER HAPPENS WE ARE ALL GOING THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF SEPT - it just simply means that we may have to all book seperately after all

sorry to be a pain in the ass about it, but what is the ltest to try and apply?

 

i'm not sure on money att he moment, but depending on things, i will either try and book with you guys (if ££ is there anyway) or i will try and get dates (if i only find out too late) and try to get a last minute deal to meet up with everyone. would be so much better than going on my own.

Only about 5% of the people who said they would deffo book have come forward with the full contact details I require to get this group booking sorted. Some of those 5% have already since told me that they have gone off and booked alone anyway as they dont want to wait. That leaves only about 5 of us who I know who can deffo pay deposits on time by end of april. Therefore its really not worth the time or effort this year trying to do the big group booking thing. If I dont have phone numbers and contact details from people, as I have requested multiple times, then I cant even phone people to chase them up. Even if I could chase people I dont actually currently have the time to do this due to my [censored] commitments I'm afraid. I'm also not prepared to keep sending out Ibiza emails to everyone on the newsletter as this will really piss off the people who aren't going / interested. Basically I have tried, but failed this time round. Its clear that people want to know the exact flight & accomodation details before they lay any money down - I cant do this until we are in a position to put down a huge deposit up front to secure a hotel/apartments - perhaps one day this will be possible but its a long way off. Its not all bad though, I have learned a lot of lessons by going through part of the process and I know we'll pull it off one day.

 

I suggest we all go off and book for our own parties. So long as we all book those same 2 first weeks in September and aim for in and around San Antonio we will still have a wicked time, as we did last year. There are deffo at least 50 people I know of going still !

 

I'm going to be looking into booking my holiday soon I reckon - perhaps with the 5 or so who have shown they are serious - and perhaps in a villa - still not sure.
