it was suggested that having five or six meet-ups throughout the night would be overkill and a bit unnecessary. plus you're getting dragged away from the DJs and artists you want to see. at one meet-up, you can plan the rest of your night and swap mobile numbers.

 

then another meet-up for those that want to meet again later (or those who accidentally get lost!) would be cool, but that'd have to be some time before the end of the fest, as obviously some people might want to leave early.

 

since nobody seems to be able to actually READ THIS THREAD PROPERLY (!!!) here's what is provisionally* suggested:

LASER WATER FOUNTAINS

 

no clue whatsoever where these are (or in fact what they look like), but leedzlad says they're gonna be there, and it seems a pretty interesting place to meet, eh. especially if it involves copious water-splashing and argumentative fun.

Tom, not everyone wants to do the same as everyone else, having regular meetup times doesn't mean you HAVE to go to every single one, some people can get there, some wont be able to but at least it prevents people getting lost for the rest of the night and not seeinf ANYONE which is what happened last year. And this was because the meetup times were not planned. Any more reasons?

A good idea, would be to print out a list of the names of people going, and aslo the meet-up times.

i just think having more meet-ups means spreading too thinly. like, if you have two BIG meet-ups on the day that people are encouraged to go to, at reasonable times, then you're going to get more people at them, maybe rather than a few more smaller ones. it'd be really great to have a massive meet-up of all fifty of us at one point.

I see what you're saying but last year we had 3 people completely lost and on their own for the majority of the day / night because there was no desginated meet up points, also word of advice, mobiles hardly work as well and that would usually solve the issue, just thinking of those that get detached from the group / groups. I think 3 hourly meet-up points would be good.

you could have these smaller meet-ups, which aren't like totally necessary for people to attend if they don't want to (they're there for Lost Children Of Mongo), but at 8pm and 2am it's required for all CTWers to get their sorry arses over to the laser fountains or their forum accounts get deleted, yeah?
