Personally I think they are excellent films. Got all 3 delivered by my kind Mr. Postie today and I think I'm gonna watch the 3rd one again.

Two of them contain the peerless, exquisite Salam Hayek, so I'm completely biased, I couldn't possibly offer a critique on the merits of the films themselves... LOL

 

I liked the rawness of El Mariachi, preferred the glossy, produced Desperado (not just because of Salma - I think) and haven't seen Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

El Mariachi is raw, and a quality film.

 

Desperado is the best of the bunch by a mile.

 

Once upon a time in mexico is all fucked up, didnt enjoy it, i actually think i fell asleep to it, it made no sense at all, was broken up and had no direction. I was bitterly disappointed. I may watch it again, just to hopefully be proven wrong. Jonny Depp is by far my favourite actor at the moment, he is pure class. Hopefully i'll be proven wrong with my second viewing!
