Pop-ups on MSN messenger

Ever since got my new PC and most recent version of MSN messenger I seem to get shit loads of pop up messages about porn etc.- anyone any idea how to get rid of them?

you dont need any of this popup blocker stuff... go to Start - Control Panel - Performance and Maintence - Administrive Tools - Services - look for 'Messenger' on the list right click and go to properties - set the startup type to 'Disabled' and click the stop button - then apply - ok  sorted Transmits net send and Alerter service messages between clients and servers.
