Well, there's nothing that beats Technics scratchchin.gif

But the Stanton STR8-100's is pretty decent, for its price.

shall i start the technics vs other decks wars now or shall we just kill the thread here laugh.gif

basically i'm a little pissed off @ technics 4 being so arse-sitty-ony - u only have to look @ the quality and price range of rivel decks to c how much ground technics have lost!

i'm not a big technics fan me

thing is tho, with Technics, 99% of the time they are what clubs have installed in the dj booths - reason they are so popular is that DJs tend to prefer using decks they will use when playing out so they dont have to spend a few minutes adapting to motor strength etc.!!!!

i agree with chris here.

I got shitty gemini xl500 mkII's and can mix pretty tight on them.....but if u tell me to mix on techies i'd freak out! lol

was tempted to buy some vestax when i got the cash - but ive now set my heart on 1210's simply coz they are teh standard and when you're looking at playing out u want to turn up and know u are gonna be comfortable.

i totally agree with u there m8 - thats what angers me most about the technics being the standard - its not cuz thier the best, but cuz thier the 1s that gave the decks away to the clubs to make em teh standard in the 1st place

another micro$oft job if u ask me

I'd like to see anyone mix on the decks that Dooby took to Tidy Weekender - they were awful (sorry Dooby)

they cant be as bad as my old decks!! sound lab dlp3s!! theyre dreadful but i can still mix on them!! just harder work cos they dont hold the beat so ur constantly touching and tuning can be done tho
