As most people who have met me already know, I love my bosh. The harder the better in my opinion. So, when the opportunity to go to the Frantic Xmas party came up, there was never any doubt over whether I'd be making the trek up to London to indulge in music of the harder variety.

The Purple Turtle pub was the meetup spot of choice this time round, being situated as it is across the road from Camden Palace. It's nice to be able to sip on a Red Bull whilst enjoying some soothing hard trance sounds.

Once we got inside Frantic, I was greeted with the audio assault of Daniel Bailey (Slinky fave), as he mixed and scratched his was through a rip roaring set. This was in turn followed by Tom Harding's equally brutal stomp fest. I've never caught Tom Harding live before, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a DJ live up to his reputation. No wonder he headlines the Dance Valley festival in Holland.

Tara Reynolds and Ian M continued the festivities, before I made my way up to the funkier sounds emulating from the Black and White bar. The Trophy Twins, among others, were tearing this room apart, and for the brief time I was in there it seemed like every song was an anthem.

Finally, we all made our way to the main room to hear the highlight of the night - Phil Reynolds going back-2-back with Andy Farley. Quite fucking astounding is the only way I can describe this. The pair blew the lid off the Camden dancefloor, and it seemed like everywhere you looked, people were dancing. But as with so many of the events I been to this year, it was over all too soon. Before we knew it, Are U All Ready? was blaring out, and the house lights were coming on.

Considering this was the first Frantic event I've been to, and given the high quality of the night, it looks like I'll be making space in my diary for next time.

SPECIAL MENTIONS

TonyP - for putting up with us at the after party.

Shenlong - for spending most of the night looking like he was going to fall asleep.
