CTW Members Graham Posted April 30, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 30, 2003 So very very last season ;-) Com'on people - clubbing clothes should be about originality, not following the trends of fluorescent, cyber and the furry boot brigade. Yes, it ‘s very hard to be totally original but at the last Gatecrasher event I felt like everyone was wearing a clubbing uniform and to be honest it totally sucked. The fact that there is no dress code should mean that people can go clubbing WHATEVER they want, rather then everyone ending up looking the same, in the cyber dog clothing. I can honestly say I would never wear it because I think it looks stupid. Maybe it’s because I’m older – or maybe it’s because I’ve never been one for following the corwd – but anyone in furry boots should be shipped off to Norway where they might actually get some use out of them ! CTW Members Capn Jack Posted April 30, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 30, 2003 I agree with you on this one, but I do think we are in the minority here. That said, if it isn't cyber, then people will be wearing whatever the current trend is. Quote I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!! CTW Moderators Maria Posted April 30, 2003 CTW Moderators Share Posted April 30, 2003 Well at the end of the day it works liek this. EACH TO THEIR OWN, innit. I know alot of clubbers who dont do the cyber thing think it looks stuoid but ppl wear what they feel confortable in. If they wana wear fluffly boots, i dont see a problem. It doesnt irritae me to see ppl cyberd up and to top it off, fluffy boots. Our opinion isn't really guna make a blind bit of difference, altho i do agree "most of them look the same", but thats what clubland is. Cybers. At least the majprity of them are! I myself would never do it coz it wouldnt suit me. But i dont disprespect the ppl who lie to dress up in fluffy boots and god knows what else! CTW Members Blink Posted April 30, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted April 30, 2003 I do tend to wear cyber stuff, but that is because I like wearing it, it is my taste. Personally I can't stand try-hards/funkies, and when I went to SS North I was amazed at the number of "clones" in their faded jeans, and off centre bleached mohawks. But if it is what people want to do, so ****ing what? As long as the people inside the clothes aren't arseholes, who cares. (This is a long running arguement on an "alternative" site I go to, where some people want a dress-code enforced, to keep the scene "alternative")

When i used to go to placed like sunissential DNA and at the accademy. They would opinionate these ppl for wearing cyber, to much bright colouring in their clothing etc. How wrong is it to do that. U cant opinionate sum1, or judge their charachter thru their fooking dress sense. At he end of the day - ppl will wear what suits them. If other ppl have a problem with it - then Basically. CTW Promotors CreamyC Posted April 30, 2003 CTW Promotors Share Posted April 30, 2003 Good point - I spose. Let them wear it if they want.
