A few months ago, we though cream were going to go down the same road as Gatecrasher, by going monthly, however Cream have hit back at recent claims that suggested the club was “floundering”, reporting to the contrary that the club’s overall activities remain “brilliant”. However, Iain Hoskins from Cream did confirm that their Liverpool flagship is currently going through a tough time. “The club is going through a few changes at the moment and we are taking Cream to a smaller more manageable size; with that we can hopefully have a more sure music policy and a more regular more returning crowd,” he said. “Attendances are up and down and are largely based on availability of (DJ) talent.” His comments come, as speculation is rife that the era of super club brands could be drawing to a close, though according to Hoskins, such talk misses the point. “I think things are really healthy, there’s gonna be a few changes over the next year or so with everybody and it means that some club brands will start to operate in a different way to how they have done before. But things have to change, and ultimately it will lead to new music or new culture coming through,” he suggested. “At the moment we are treating each week at Cream the way an event would be promoted. What we want to do is take it smaller and more underground. I have not yet been to Cream, Liverpool; however, I have been to the renowned Garlands in Liverpool and still have to hear that it is ‘taking things smaller and more underground… [Wink]

Cream is FULL of beer boys! The music still remains 'ok' but the atmosphere is nothing short of crap! I think the age of the superclubs have really died out now and the smaller clubs, Garlands, Passion, Storm etc are starting to play a bigger part in the club world. Cream's really shown this over the past 2 years id say. The only decent night held at Nation now is Bugged Out which has gone from strength to strength and is full of clubbers rather than these Ben Sherman lads.

If only Brighton and Hove council gave Cream the go=ahead for Brighton a year or 2 back. Vream now has a monthly residency at a club in Brighton called the Concorde which is reasonabley famous, have not been to either of the 2 or 3 nights nights they have put on yet but have heard they are very good!!!
