Farleyssential, Birmingham ---> Saturday 10th August

Man, what a night, Ilogik got the evening off to a great start,plenty of energy, and a nice edge to the sound. And then the man, Mr Farley himself, came on, second on the bill???(was he playing Hard House Academy too?) That was strange, but he played a blinding set, for want of a better word, I would describe it has "heavy" (hard?) I was definitely dancing away like a nutter. Rachael Auburn, hints of trance, I liked it, altho I thought it got a bit soft in the middle of her set, lost the energy a bit. And finally, Miss Lashes, first time I had heard her, and I found it a bit bangy for my tastes, but everyone else seemed to love it.

Then onto afterssential, which was as hard and fast as ever, and full of various shades of nutter.

 

On the down side, I had a bit of a disagreement with the bouncers on the legality of amphetamine, and was escorted from the building (first time ever for that ), but thanks to Kate and Karl for helping smuggle me back in!!! Was good to see SarahPVC there, and thanks for helping sort out the problem which the door staff left me with (or without as the case may be!!)

My friend went for the first time last night, and now he is in love with the place. When are all you other CTWers gonna come and play in Brum?
