Wub Wub, No I don't play out mate. That mix is the first one I've done in about a year, haven't really had the 'go' in me to actually stand there and do it. You can thank a certain person on this site for that (no names mentioned though! hehe).

 

I don't have the chance to spend loads of cash on new CDs (I mix off my Pioneer CDJ500s) so I prefer to go digging back through the tunes I know and love and play with them in different ways. I also try and put as much thought and emotion into my mixes too, and am a complete perfectionist! I've been known to give up on a mix recording one track from the end because I'm not happy with a specific mix!

Probably comes from having Sasha and Diggers as big influences!

I've got a pair of big ole Gemini CDJ500's (the first type) to mix on. Clunky as [censored], but still [censored] hot quality.

 

Mixing hard house/trance is quite hard for CD's, as the tracks aren't really available. (esp with Audiogalaxy gone), so I've moved gradually to vinyl in the past year or so.

 

your mix reminds me of Renaissance circa 1998/9-ish. very lush!

I can definately see how Sasha & Digweed influenced you!! At times whilst listening to your CD, I felt like I was transported back to my lcal club Mirage about 5 years ago, listening to Sasha do a 3hr set!
