are you going to the burning man festival?

 

i have wanted to go for a few years now, i like the idea of the open-ness and freedom - it would be a very learning experience.

 

will you get lots of photos for us to see?

yep - this will be my 4th year...

 

how did you hear about it? i've tried to explain it to people but it's so hard because everybody gets something different out of it.

 

one thing i do know is there is nothing else like it on earth... the following is my best effort:

 

- it changed my life in a big way

 

- looking at pictures helps give an idea of what happens there but not what it's like to attend

 

- if you have been, you know. if you have not been, you should consider going

i will surely take loads of pictures this year as i always do and will upload them as soon as i'm home and i have recovered from the chemical apocalypse to which i will surely subject myself

I first heard about it around five or six years ago through a friends parents.

 

Since then it has been on my list of things of things to do!

 

I can see why everyone would get something different out of it. The meltingpot of cultures, idealisims and backgrounds would be enough to change anyones outlook on life (or at least to give them an good insight into the bigger picture).

 

I am planning a four/five month trip next year around the world, visiting europe, thailand, oz and finally ending up in america. I am hoping that i can convince the two guys i am going with to time it with the festival.

 

i can but hope.
