Maybe it's the same gypo that stole my doors. Put them outside my flat (nice little block so they were actually inside if that makes sense), next day they were gone. Was getting rid of them anyway so they done me a favour really...

I just glanced at the heading to this thread and read it as 'some gypos stole my neighbours' and my first thought was...'well, did your neighbours not put up any kind of resistance?'...then came the even funnier images in my head of a hoard of nasty gyppos sneaking through the night stealing unsuspecting people from their beds and making off with them under cover of darkness, cackling madly as they make off down the road with a van full of sleeping suburbanites who's peaceful mundane lives have now been shattered, leaving them only with their new life of downtrodden slavery under their cruel illiterate masters! hee hee hee.

You are confusing gypsies (REAL gypsies) with caravan travelling bums.
