Have u ever been so happy that it made you sad?

A friend came round mine the other day and told me he was the happiest he'd ever been, really content and everything in his life was good!

 

Hurrah I thought, good for him...then he broke down in tears because he was scared the happiness was gonna end and he would never feel so good again!

 

What a strange guy, kinda scary really! He's fine now, thinks it was strange too, any1 had anything similar?

I know that one well, being a natural born pessimist, with depressive tendencies (I am in an industrial/goth band for christ sakes), I find I get like that. If I am in a really good relationship, and totally happy with the world, I "know" it is going to end, and the hurt that will come at the end of it scares the [censored] out of me. I also have a tendency to [censored] things up BECAUSE I "know" they are going to end. But hell, I write some fine tunes when I am depressed

definitely, all good things have to come to an end as they say and life can be a right bastard at times.

happens to us all though unfortunately.

i'm currently at the end of of my happiness and i'm fuckin depressed and sad.

 

I fuckin hate it as the pain i can't get away from it, the only relief is when i'm asleep and even then that gets plagued by my sadness in my dreams.

I know that feeling, I am lucky to have my music to lose myself in, it is the only way I can express what I am feeling, just sitting down with a nice piano sound and going *plink, plink*

Yeah, I get that sometimes. Being scared that all the good [censored] in my life is going to come to an end one day.

 

After all, if every day is better than the day before, it's gotta stop somewhere, right?

At the end of the day, if we didn't experience down points in our life, then what the f*ck would make the good things so good?

 

We all have real low points, when there seems like there's no light at the end of the tunnel, but with a bit of patience and optimism, things do get better.

i agree with MS Zee. u cant appreciate the good unless u hav the bad, but it's so sad things hav 2 b like this, but unforetunatly that's life. keep your chins up tho, cos u never know what's round the corner....and trust me, you've got 2 enjoy things while u can.
