Unfortunately, although alot of police officers are good at their jobs, there are still some who are racist, violent bigots. I read about this case a while ago, does not surprise me at all.

I guess it is the same with any proffession or job, or all walks of life really, most are ok, but you get the odd 1 or 2 bad apple in the cart, giving the rest a bad name

is it really any wonder that police end up that way though?

 

* they catch criminals only to watch them walk free months later and commit the same crime again

* they get constant verbal and physical abuse but get penalised the moment they do the same back

* people give them a complete lack of respect despite them being employed to look after us (talk about ungrateful)

 

if you dont like the sodding coppers, then try being one yourself and prove to us its as easy as you make it out to be

So what exactly happens:

 

a) When someone joins the police force all of a sudden they become a racist, facist pig

 

Or they are a racist, facist pig in the first place and a career in the Police force is the perfect to step to fulfill their potential

 

I'm sorry but this is just utter crap. I agree with with mr happy. In can't be easy dealing with criminals / criminal cases for your entire working life and remain completely unbiased and be the 'model police officer'. you're gonna have bad days, be in bad moods etc and sometimes you will come across one.

 

Next time someone breaks into your house you'll be on the phone to them before you know it. And they won't be facist pigs then will they?

I think that is more to do with the fact that the justice system is a fucking shambles - the focus is on punishment rather than rehabilitation, therefore the underlying problems which lead people to comit crimes are never tackled.
