As many of our London based members will already know, a great deal of the nights out in the capital start with three fateful words.

Piano and Pitcher

Being a south coast lad (and a student at that), there is still a big part of me that resents paying £5.50 for a double vodka coke (especially when I didn't ask for a double mad.gif). Still, I can gripe later....

The meetup itself was in good spirits. Despite Creamy not being able to make it to the club afterwards, and James not being able to make it at all, a good few of us still went on to Wildchild. After haggling slightly for reduced entry (and some of us getting free entry, despite not being entitled - step forward Scream!), we got inside. Check the lineup - doh, we'd missed JFK. Not a good way to start the evening.

In the main room, John Kelly was laying down a funky trance/house crossover style set, and would later extend his set to two hours, due to the non appearance of Lange. Upstairs, the first part of the evening was of the tribal/prog style, in my ears, and wasn't my cup of tea. I ventured back up there later when the graceful tones of Love Story floated down the stairs, but even live bongo percussion couldn't hold my attention for long.

After an overpriced cheeseburger (admittedly, tasty), and a brief wander into the VIP room (godamn media whores, wall to wall), I ended up back in the main room, pogoing my little heart out to M.I.K.E Push. The music had finally started to creep above 130bpm, thank god.

Another brief wander saw me random Matt Darey (not playing, just there, white label in hand), and then the scrummy Mr Rob Tissera. Being a Slinky kid, Tissera is the patron saint of party, so a photo was inevitable, as was a Mr Shaky Hands Man impression. Returning to the dancefloor in time to hear the opening bars of Thriller blare out over Heaven's impressive soundsystem.

Tissera really took it to the next level, and by the time BK took over at 5am, the crowd had reached boiling point. Truely an awesome end to a night that took longer to get going than it should have.

Highlights of the Night

- Meeting all the CTWers I hadn't met before. Amongst others, Guyster, EvilHedFuk, LiquidEyes. All top notch geezers.

- John Kelly off his face in the upstairs room.

- Scaling the stage to random BK with the immortal words "Revoultion? How can you make a tune so [censored] good!" blush.gif

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT

"I am sorry. Matt Darey, lord of the trance, is very drunk"

Harder. Faster. Better. Stronger. Badder. Smarter. Wub Wub
