all you do is take the IDE cable and plug it in the back and make sure that the CD-R is either cable selected or slave as i assume you have DVD in the new one at the moment.

 

oh and then hook the power up, screw it in, and jobs and a goodun. Like i said, as easy as playing with lego.

pc's aren't scary, they just look it. there's nothing more complicated than plugging a cable into a socket or putitng some screws in. a little kid could do it

Scream / Krazee,

 

First things first, explain to Claire, in detail, how she should open the PC unit up to get to the IDE and ports..... which screws to undo ect...This will be difficult, unless you know exactly waht model she has, and how to go about it.

What i'm saying is that anything is easy if you know what you are doing.

 

I'm Sure Claire, Tony P, Liquid, and Guyster find mixing easy. I wouldn'y know where to start.

I built a computer last month, just so I could prove to myself I could do it, I used this as my reference guide and found it excellent. Installing the OS was a bit harder like getting drivers installed.

Built my first computer cos it seemed like something interestin to do at the time, probably take me about an hour and a half or so to build a fully workin pc now
