CHRISTMAS MORNING .......

What do you all do?

 

Mine consists of ..

 

01.00 am ... Get to bed ... presents dragged out of the loft and laid out under tree ... Have to wait till 1 as the kids wake up zillions of times and therefore we have to ensure they are dead to the world before venturing into loft and banging about ...

 

02.00 am ... Hear little voice ... " Muummmmmmmmm has Santa been?"

 

"No .. go back to sleep!!!"

 

This goes on ... half hourly ...

 

04.30 am ... Little noises from Holly's room .. DAMN she's found the sack of pressies ...

 

Hear little rustles of paper ..

 

04.40 ... Hear little steps on landing ... bangs on eldests door .. "Hannah!!!!!!! Santa's been" ...

 

Now .. Hannah is a teenager .. NOT A THING IN THE WORLD will wake her .. so ... Holly wanders into our room

 

To be honest I'm far too excited to sleep too .. so I usually nip down and make me and M a coffee .... and Holly eventually wakes Hannah and they both sit on the bed unwrapping their pressies.

 

We have a ritual ... we HAVE to get showered and dressed before going downstairs ... This means that usually by 6.30 am we are all washed, dressed .. make up pm ( apart from Michael ) and enviously looking at the neighbours curtains, still drawn and obviously asleep !!!

 

Funny how kids open presents too .. Hannah tears the paper away impatiently, whilst Holly peruses the paper ... gives the package a shake or two and then carefully peels off tiny bits of paper at a time ... consequently by the time Hannah has opened all of hers, Holly is usually still on her 5th ..

 

M and I ... each year, say ... "No alcohol till 7 " ... but .. as one present after another is opened, we look at one another and say .. " It just isnt quite the same is it?" and the bottle of champagne is opened ..

 

Therefore, we are pissed by 7 ...

 

This is JUST at the time Holly says ... " Mum can you stick these stickers on this present" ... Hmmm .. we have many a toy with stickers placed wonkily!

 

I love christmas ... love it love it ..!!!

 

 

And .. it's HERE .. we saw the first ToysRUs ad a bit ago ... that always signals Christmas is Here for us ..

1100 Get back. Have breakfast. Start drinking.

 

1200 Unwrap presents. Get dissappointed. Drink some more

 

1300 Lunch

 

1500 Pudding (big [censored] lunch though)

 

1700 Watch Star Wars or equivalent.

About 1am, go to dad's restaurant for xmas dinner with family and all the restaurant staff.

Get bored

Go home, open presents.

Annoy ister and vice versa

be bored rest of day

go to sleep.

 

Yup, isn't xmas great, not.

3am - early hours of christmas morning, stumble home from

the CR's (the tackiest club in the world)

 

11am - get out of bed, wrap presents whilst every1 else is

downstairs having breakfast

 

12 noon - go open presents, though it seems a bit pointless

cos I generally get told what I've been brought for

X-mas.

 

1 pm - everyone arrives at ours for X-mas dinner, start

getting drunk.

 

8 pm - am fairly hammered, go to my b/f where they are

generally having a white christmas. Get completely

wasted pass out and then wake up just b4 New Years Eve

bout 1.30-2am - Finally drag myself home after spending far too much time and money in the pub.

 

8am - Get woken up by rest of family. Feel very rough thanks to large amounts of vodka. Go and open presents.

 

9.30 - Go back to bed

 

2pm - Get woken up for xmas lunch. Drink more, spend rest of day watching [censored] movies on tv then go back to bed.

Get in between 6 and 9am with my head firmly up my arse.

Have sleep till lunchtime.

Have a bath

Have xmas dinner .... eat nothing but push it round my plate for 30mins.

Drink and more drink

Talk bollox to family and then back out when pubs open.

 

Presents get opened somewhere in that itiniary.

I remember my sister always took hours to open her presents... used to drive me mad!

 

Looks like this Christmas day will be at home which means huge xmas lunch and hopefulyy getting my mum pissed coz it's funny. Will also be the first xmas where I've not had to get up to see to horses either...

 

Boxing day we're driving down to sugaratias' for a boxing day fry up apparently...

 

 

damn it - will be dieting again in the new year... but don't you just love christmas?

LAst Xmas was actually a bit boring for me. I must've been getting old, cos I didn't get the buzz from unwrapping any of my presents as I usually do.
